How can I get involved?
Plan your map on Studio
Simply select which tiles you want to map, click generate map and pick your starting point.
Use Litchi to fly with ease
Click open in Litchi to save your flightpath to your Mission Hub or use the downloaded file to use your controller of choice.
Get in the field
Connect your drone to Litchi in the field and hit start. Make sure you’ve turned on those video captions.
Build with us
Upload your video file and .SRT file to Hivemapper and watch it add to the global map

Hivemapper pays you every 2 weeks based on your contributions and collection.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a drone to earn money?
Yes. Currently you need a drone to collect with Studio. We support a wide range of drones that you can view here. Soon you will be able to map while you drive using the Open Dashcam.
Why build a new global map?
The map you collect enables business and organizations to use fresh maps for the purposes of navigation and monitoring without the need for specialized sensors and expensive satellites.
How much can I earn?
Earn as much as you want. Your earning potential will depend on weather, location, and how efficient you are. With gold tiles and our bonus system any collector can earn up to $300 per week flying only 2 hours a day.
I don’t see any gold tiles in my city, does that mean I can’t map?
Every location is important to us, our gold tiles highlight where the demand is highest. Our map is always expanding, so make sure to submit your city in our request survey linked here.
